Ways to Give

                                 “Creating Bright Futures” 2011 Campaign

                                        EVENT KICK-OFF - October 11th

As a non-profit organization, we rely upon the generosity and support of our friends and the community to help us continue to offer top quality education and care for children with special needs.

Many friends of the Frankie Lemmon School have volunteered to help us initiate our first ever community-wide fundraising campaign.
The campaign goal for 2011 is to raise a minimum of $100,000 which will be used to:

  • add a much-needed  occupational therapist to our staff
  • purchase next-generation, state-of-the-art teaching devices and technologies
  • pay for advanced training for teachers in assistive technologies and auditory integration

These investments will allow the school to enhance our “Whole Language” program and remain the leading provider of communication
development for children with special needs.

  • $5000 will pay a month’s salary for an occupational therapist
  • $2500 will pay for one teacher to attend advanced training in assistive technologies or auditory integration
  • $1200 will allow us to purchase an additional laptop with special educational software for student use
  • $500 will support the purchase of a cutting-edge teaching device or technology
  • $250 will cover a portion of the cost for an educational field trip for our students

It is our long-term goal to serve even more of the many children who would benefit from our unique high-quality program, and to become a recognized model for life-changing special needs education in North Carolina.

Your gift will have a direct impact on the students of the Frankie Lemmon School and their families.  With your help, these precious children will each have the opportunity they deserve to develop the skills necessary to successfully journey through life and achieve their full potential.

Please donate today and share the joy that comes from “Creating Bright Futures”.

Parent Testimonials

“Families come to Frankie Lemmon with heavy hearts, most having found no place where their child is welcomed with open arms, treasured for his or her uniqueness.  Frankie Lemmon School is a port in the storm, a haven in which children have their needs met.”   Cooper’s Mother

“When my daughter was first diagnosed with Down Syndrome, I was overwhelmed with self-pity.  I thought of all the opportunities that would pass her by, all the challenges she would struggle to overcome.  Frankie Lemmon School was an answer to our prayers and a blessing to our family.”  Sydie’s Mother

When our daughter entered Frankie Lemmon School she only had sounds, no recognizable speech.  I thought if she could talk maybe she could tell me if something was wrong or if she wanted something.   She said her first words at Frankie Lemmon,  she overcame her fears here, she learned she could do things herself.”  Jessica’s Mother
